Green Screen

This short video clip demonstrates just a couple of the many uses for a green screen (or blue screen) and its versatility. Almost anything is possible with a green screen, using "Chroma Key" - where the subject is placed in front of a coloured background and that specific colour (green or blue) is removed to isolate the subject.

Chroma Key

Green screens and chroma key allow us to place you, your staff, products, or a professional presenter in front of a green screen, and then add a virtual environment behind them. We can then combine additional elements using 3D modeling and animation to help your subject interact with their virtual backdrop.

This process is used for virtually every TV news studio these days - the news presenters are often the only real objects on the set, even the ceiling lighting is simulated, and the presenter effectively placed into an entirely fictitious environment.

The three examples in this short video clip use a variety of different techniques and equipment, using an underlay background, silhouette colour-fill, and a presenter interacting with a moving background.

While the green screen is predominantly used for motion picture applications, it's also handy for still-photography too, enabling our graphics people to quickly isolate the subject from the background for professional product photography suited to brochures and websites.

This short video was filmed at our offices using our professional HD video cameras and studio lighting equipment. We also have cranes, booms, tracks, and DSLRs to showcase people and objects from all angles and perspectives. With access to media-trained presenters, we can provide a complete turnkey video package, with a website video player that works in with all web browsers and devices.

Our green screen team have the latest power PCs and professional editing software to polish the edited footage with post-production and visual effects, to add that final sparkle. Our team uses the latest in Adobe and Avid editing and production software, along with Steinberg audio production tools.
