Client Testimonial
Road User Group (Gear4YourCar)
A quick testimonial to say what a great job done by the team at 16i. We are sincere in our praise for the team as it is unusual to get to know everybody at a company who deals with your account. We feel that we have engaged at every level of the project from inception through to delivery with every member of your team. You should be very proud of your team and we look forward to working with every one of them into the next year with all the exciting things we want to do.

Using a Payment Gateway from a Payment Service Provider (PSP)
An Internet Merchant Account (IMA) allows you to accept debit/credit card payments directly to your business bank account, online. Due to the stringent criteria required for an IMA, many smaller businesses opt for a payment processing company instead.
Using a Payment Gateway, provided by a Payment Service Provider (PSP) offers an alternative for businesses whose card-based-turnover is too low or who fail to meet the criteria for an IMA.
Advantages of a payment gateway or payment service provider:
- You needn't worry about the hassle or expense of an IMA.
- They provide a secure payment system, reducing development costs.
- The approval process is much less stringent than for an IMA.
- It's much faster to get up and running when compared to an IMA.
Disadvantages of a payment gateway or payment service provider:
- Customers have to temporarily leave your website to make the transaction.
- You may have to wait for 30-60 days before receiving payments to your account.
- On-going per-transaction fees are typically higher than with an IMA.
- You often need to take-out insurance against fraud/chargebacks, or wear the cost.
We support all the top payment gateways provided by payment processing companies. If you intend to use one of the following payment gateways, we can support you:
- PayPoint.net (SecPay) payment gateway
- SagePay payment gateway
- PayPal Merchant Services
- Google Checkout
