Following the success of last year’s efforts, this year everybody at 16i will again be contributing to CCP’s Hamper Scamper Appeal, and we’re looking for donations from anybody who’d like to get involved!

Hamper Scamper is CCP’s (Caring for Communities and People) Christmas Giving Scheme, designed to spread a little cheer to some of the most disadvantaged children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults at Christmas. Every year CCP deliver thousands of gifts and food parcels donated by the local community, to families and vulnerable adults living in poverty.

Last year alone, donations amounted to over 2,500 gifts for children under 18 and young people living in supported accommodation, while 1148 food hampers were delivered to families and vulnerable adults.

This year, 16i will be donating food hampers for the appeal. If you’d like to get involved, you can bring your food donations to the 16i office for collection before 8th December. Alternatively, please contact CCP for more information on how to arrange a collection from your own premises.

Food items that can be donated include:

  • Christmas cake
  • Yule log
  • Tinned meat
  • Mince pies
  • Crisps
