Boardroom

We were delighted to welcome South West HR consultants, Rise HR, for a for a training day spent filming some new videos to showcase on their website.

With offices throughout the South West region, co-founders of Rise HR, Georgina and Kirsty, planned a team activity day and opted to use the collaboration meeting space at 16i HQ. The large, multi-functional area offered them the ideal space they needed for the entire team to get together.

The meeting room, combining the latest technology with an adaptable layout that suits all needs, provided capacity for an entire day of activities for the team of HR professionals to enjoy.

Filming in the Collaboration room

To get the most out of a team building day think about the best room setup for your activity ahead of booking the venue. There are various different options for consideration, for example a "U" shape configuration is great for discussions with presenter-led sessions, and an "Auditorium" style is ideal for presentations. For group work, multiple smaller tables allow for collaboration and focused feedback. When planning the day's activities, you should also consider space for the presenter and any equipment you are going to be using

Options when choosing Your Team Building Room Layout:

·         Boardroom – chairs arranged around a single large table

·         Classroom – tables and chairs set up for teams of two

·         U-shape – classic set up best for when the presenter needs to interact with the group

Boardroom – up to 16 people
U-Shape - up to 18 people
Classroom - up to 16 people

Or, alternatively, for bigger groups layout options can include:

·         Oval – used for board or committee meetings

·         Auditorium – chairs arranged in rows facing the front for presentations

·         Small groups – for activities that require small, focused teams

Oval - up to 20 people
Small Groups
Auditorium - up to 32 people

Team training days offer many benefits for improved collaboration and communication, resulting in increased productivity and employee retention. Choose a set up that will support your planned activity, the number of attendees, and the technology you will need, such as an interactive touch screen and high-speed secure wifi.

With some forward planning when booking a venue, your team building event will be a success. Not only that, it’s also great to have a day out in a different location with access to all the benefits of Regency Cheltenham!
