The Approach
A number of design workshops were held in order to fully explore the requirements of the Different Snow brand. Key brand values, audience types and potential straplines were identified and the preferred design direction decided on. Keen to maintain elements of the existing brand, the designers updated the snowflake to give it a cleaner, premium feel, whilst the colour palette was evolved to incorporate more premium shades. Japanese elements such as symbols and badges were also created in order to showcase the new ‘The powder and glory of Japan’ strapline. Once complete, the first draft of the logo, strapline, colour palette and brand placement examples were presented to Different Snow for approval, before being applied to the corporate website design.
