Creating a seamless user experience for G1 Installers

An award-winning leader in the heating industry, Grant has been designing and manufacturing reliable, award-winning products since 1970.

The Challenge

Grant UK approached 16i with a need for a more advanced, streamlined installer portal, to enable their 1,000+ installers to register products quickly and easily.

Approach

With user experience in mind the design and development teams worked closely to build a system that is both technologically advanced, yet (as a result of great UI design) easy-to-use.

Exclusively available to G1 installers, the portal comprises a number of user-focused features including a bespoke summary dashboard (displaying recent registrations, service reminders and due dates), as well as the ability to view, draft, and/or complete new product registrations.

The portal also syncs with the corresponding G1 Click app (also developed by 16i), ensuring a seamless user experience between the two and ultimately allowing installers to complete registrations on the move.

Key features / customisations

A dedicated points system also allows users to accrue points (via product registrations) and move between the various G1 tiers (with benefits including a premium interface and the ability to redeem points); whilst the online G1 shop allows installers to view and purchase products and redeem points (where applicable).
