A key grasp of the usual Adobe design packages plus HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and JavaScript (jQuery) a must. Eye for great design, organization and attention to detail are crucial in this role. The right person will need to be commercially aware with experience of working on multiple projects, able to work well independently but also collaborate with the rest of the team and have the ability to articulate and clearly illustrate their ideas.

Some understanding and experience of MVC principles and object-oriented programming would be an advantage but not essential.

Key tasks:

  • Working on projects from inception to completion for a varied client base
  • Designing and refining new responsive websites
  • Identify and fix bugs with HTML / CSS
  • Involved with front-end quality control
  • Taking briefs from the team and directly from clients
  • Able to help with pitches and liaise with clients
  • Educating and influencing clients to choose effective and functional designs
  • Keeping well-informed and up-to-date with the latest technologies, techniques and web trends and bring new ideas to the team

The right candidate for us should have the following skills and experience:

  • Wireframing
  • Adobe CC
  • HTML, JavaScript (jQuery) and CSS3
  • Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
  • Responsive design and principles
  • A willingness to learn other packages and introduce into the department
  • A solid understanding of web usability and information architecture
