Grant UK are a leading manufacturer of oil boilers and renewable technology including air-source heat pumps, biomass, solar thermal, and cylinders.

The Challenge

Following the build of the G1 Portal and App, Grant UK approached 16i with the requirement for a redesign and build of the corporate website. Key aims of the project were to refresh the branding, streamline the user journey, and ultimately increase user engagement and enquiries.

Approach

With user experience at the forefront of the project, 16i worked to restructure the existing sitemap in order to amalgamate content and improve the user journey – guiding customers to the most relevant part of the site in as fewer clicks as possible. As part of this, the site was split into two versions (Homeowner and Professional) with an initial pop-up prompting the user to set their preference from the outset.

Once on the site, users are able to browse the product catalogue or alternatively search for engineers or merchants based on postcode location.

Key features / customisations

Advanced functionality such as the dedicated ‘Boiler selector’ and ‘Flue configurator’ means users are able to identify which boiler and flues are most relevant them, based on a series of questions. Similarly the inclusion of an online spares catalogue (and corresponding predictive search) allows professionals to quickly and easily find parts, as well as being able to locate their nearest stockist.
