White label development for agencies
Some projects arrive that you cannot build in-house. A client asks for an Umbraco build, a complex integration, a secure portal, or a piece of bespoke software, and the work sits outside what your team does. Turning it away loses the project. Taking it on without the capability risks the relationship.
We are the third option. 16i builds under your name, to your specification, on your timeline. Your client deals with you throughout. We deal with you.
We are a Cheltenham based, B Corp certified development agency working in Umbraco and .NET, and we have delivered hundreds of Umbraco projects over more than twenty years. We do not do marketing, brand or campaign work, which means we are not competing with you for anything.
How it works
White label engagements work best when the boundaries are set clearly at the start. Ours are straightforward.
You own the client relationship. All communication runs through you unless you decide otherwise. If you would rather we joined a technical call directly, we will, under your name and at your invitation.
We scope from your brief. You tell us what has been sold and what has been promised. If the brief and the budget do not reconcile, we will say so before work starts rather than halfway through.
We work to your deadlines. Agency timelines are usually driven by something external: a launch, a campaign, a client board meeting. We plan around the date that matters rather than the date that suits us.
We hand over properly. Documentation, access, and a clean codebase, so you are not dependent on us afterwards unless you want to be. Ongoing support is available if it suits you, and optional if it does not.
Your client relationship stays yours
This is usually the first question, so we will answer it plainly. We will not approach your client. Not during the project, not afterwards.
We put that in writing as a matter of course. Non-solicitation is a standard term in our partner agreements, and we would expect any partner to ask for it.
It is also simply how we prefer to work. Agency partnerships are worth considerably more to us as long-term relationships than any single end client would be, and the moment a partner cannot trust us with an introduction, that value disappears.

Why agencies choose 16i
Deep Umbraco specialism. We are an accredited Umbraco agency and have published extensively on the platform, from version upgrades to comparisons against WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore and Kentico. Umbraco is our primary platform rather than one of many.
We build for organisations with real requirements. Our clients include international law firms, national manufacturers, arts venues and luxury travel businesses. The work tends to involve integrations, security requirements and systems that have to keep running.
No competing services. We do not offer marketing, PR, brand or campaign work. There is nothing for us to cross-sell your client.
B Corp certified. We are independently assessed on how we treat our people, our clients and our partners, which for some agencies matters in its own right and for others matters to their clients.
Example of the work
Oxford Ski Company is the leading luxury ski travel specialist in the UK, founded in 1998 and now representing a portfolio of more than 800 chalets and 175 hotels across France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the United States and Canada.
It is the kind of build that looks straightforward and is not. A property portfolio at that scale needs content structures that handle resorts, properties, availability and enquiry routing without becoming unmanageable for the team maintaining it. The front end has to feel genuinely premium, because the audience expects it. And performance matters more than usual, since much of the browsing happens on mobile and a slow gallery loses a booking enquiry.
This is representative of the projects agencies bring to us: the design and the client relationship sit with the partner, and the technical delivery sits with us.
We needed a website that could carry a portfolio of this size without becoming difficult to manage, and that felt as considered as the holidays we sell. 16i understood both requirements from the outset. They are straightforward to work with, they explain the technical decisions in terms we can act on, and the site has continued to evolve with the business rather than needing to be replaced.
If you have a project that needs capability you do not have in-house, or you would rather have a partner in place before that project arrives, we would be glad to talk. No obligation, and no approach to your clients.
