Next Thursday evening, Thursday 22 May 2026, the great and the good of Gloucestershire's lifestyle and community scene gather under the magnificent dome of Pittville Pump Room, and 16i will be right there with them.

We're proud to be sponsoring the Event of the Year category at the Gloucestershire Lifestyle & Community Awards 2026, SoGlos's brilliant celebration of the businesses, venues, community groups and individuals that make this county such a genuinely special place to live and work.

What are the awards all about?

The SoGlos Lifestyle Awards have been championing the best of Gloucestershire since 2018. This year they've grown into something bigger and better, the Gloucestershire Lifestyle & Community Awards expanding beyond restaurants, pubs, and cultural venues to also recognise the charities, volunteers, fundraisers and community groups quietly doing extraordinary things across the county.

With over 20,000 public votes cast across 17 categories, the finalists have already been decided. Thursday is the night the winners are revealed.

From Restaurant of the Year and Family Day Out of the Year, to brand-new categories like the Volunteer Award and Fundraiser Award, it's a proper celebration of everything that makes Gloucestershire tick.

Why we're involved

Here's the honest answer: because it felt right.

16i works with businesses right across Gloucestershire helping them build a stronger digital presence, grow their brand, and make the most of what they've got. Events are a huge part of what makes this county worth talking about, and the organisations behind them deserve proper recognition. Sponsoring Event of the Year felt like an obvious fit.

These are the kind of people and organisations that put Gloucestershire on the map. So being part of an evening that shines a light on them? That's not a hard decision.

Meet the Event of the Year finalists

What a list. The public has voted, the judges have deliberated, and these are the eight events in the running for the title on Thursday night:

  • Gloucester History Festival

  • Laguna Bay, Giffords Circus

  • Lions at Large — The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail, Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity

  • Pumpkins at Over Farm

  • Royal International Air Tattoo

  • Spectacle of Light, Sudeley Castle

  • The 745 Game, The Gloucester Rugby Charitable Foundation

  • The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival

From a world-famous air show to an illuminated castle, a charity rugby match to a trail of painted lions; it's a genuinely brilliant shortlist that shows just how much Gloucestershire punches above its weight when it comes to events. Whoever takes the trophy on Thursday has earned it.

Come and find us on the night

The awards kick off at the Pittville Pump Room from 6pm, with welcome drinks, street food, and if last year was anything to go by, a room full of people who genuinely care about what they do.

If you're a finalist, a sponsor, or just curious about what 16i can do for your business, come and say hello.

No jargon. No hard sell. Just a chat.

Congratulations to all the finalists

Across all 17 categories, getting to the finalist stage is a genuine achievement as over 20,000 public votes were cast, which means real people took the time to say: this matters to me. That's worth celebrating regardless of what's announced on the night.

A huge congratulations to all eight Event of the Year finalists in particular. We're honoured to be involved in recognising what you've built.

Good luck to everyone. See you at Pittville.
