Engaging potential students through a bespoke iPad Pro app

After nearly 200 years of teaching, the University of Gloucestershire offers cutting edge facilities in the beautiful, historic locations of Cheltenham and Gloucester.

The Challenge

With a series of upcoming Higher and Further Education fairs, the University of Gloucestershire approached 16i with a requirement for an easy-to-use, standalone app to be used as marketing tool.

Approach

16i worked closely with the University's marketing team throughout the planning and design stages in order to overcome key challenges relating to limited wifi connection and restrictive access.

The resulting product was an offline app (designed for both the iPad Pro and Air) which showcased the various university courses available, including high-level imagery and videos; whilst incorporating the vibrant 'Glo' branding. The app was deployed to 3x iPad Pros and optimised for 4x subsequent iPad Airs.

Key features / customisations

Following the initial launch the app was subsequently updated to include dedicated gallery pages and functionality for the Art & Design, and Photography sections.
